Durable product protection against harmful bacteria, fungi and mould.

Bacteria are a fact of life and can be found all around us. Although, most bacteria are harmless, some can cause illness and spoilage. Antimicrobial technology is effective against a wide range of organisms including Campylobacter, MRSA and E.coli. It works by inhibiting microbial growth on the surface, offering product protection and complimenting existing hygiene protocols.

Antimicrobial technology is an incredibly effective way to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria in places where good hygiene is critical. It’s effective against a wide range of germs from food poisoning causing E. coli and Salmonella to antibiotic resistant bacteria like MRSA and VRE.

Our product uses silver-ion technology, which is a natural antimicrobial, that is completely safe for use even for articles with food contact.

Antimicrobial protected surfaces are ideal in environments such as hospitals, care homes, schools, gyms and offices where large numbers of people gather together.

Precautions : Do not use QSTRIP on plastic surfaces. Do not use if rain is forecast. Do not allow to dry out. Product works most efficiently between 15-25°C. Avoid applying in conditions of prolonged full sun.

Applications :

Good preparation is key to a professional looking, long lasting finish. Remove any loose or peeling paint and obvious solid soil or dusty agglomerates.

Wet Test a small area prior to application to determine the thickness (generally 3mm) of QSTRIP required and note the time (minimum 40 minutes) needed to allow it to work

Apply using a brush, roller or applicator pad, and leave QSTRIP for a minimum of 40 minutes to soften and dissolve the film. Thicker coatings may take a few hours. It is advisable to check a small area with a palette knife. If it removes easily proceed with the entire area.

On stubborn coatings use a stiff broom or brush, (pay close attention to cracks and grooves), then remove by scraping, scrubbing or power wash.

Generally, two applications will work, however sometimes a third application may be required. Leave to dry and examine. Repeat process in any areas that have not been removed until the entire area is acceptable.

Do not “Spot Clean” as this may result in a patchy appearance

Clean the whole area at the same time. DEX PREP may not remove old deep seated fungal stains and timber marking dyes. For best results apply DEX PREP to cool surfaces out of direct sunlight. Do not allow to dry on the surface before removal. Failure to remove the cleaning solution residue may result in timber discolouration under clear finishes or early failure of the coating due to changed pH. DEX PREP is mildly acidic, avoid contact with painted metal surfaces and vegetation. Rinse thoroughly if contact occurs.

Application :

Remove surface dirt by sweeping or hosing.

Shake DEX PREP thoroughly and mix in a plastic container or bucket. General Cleaning: Mix one part DEX PREP to 5 parts water Severe Staining: Apply neat.

Wet the surface to be cleaned.

Apply mixture generously with a scouring or scrubbing brush and scrub timber thoroughly. Leave for 10-15 minutes.

Rinse off using a garden hose, or high pressure water cleaner for large area or badly discoloured timber.
